Pink drops 100 feet on wire to land on Isle Of Wight Festival stage

Pink brought her Funhouse stage show to the Isle Of Wight Festival this evening (June 13), making a dramatic entrance from a great height to kick off the performance. The US singer began the set inside a large box suspended from a crane, then dropped down to the stage attached to wires and started singing a short version of 'Get This Party Started'.Later in the set she introduced her songwriting partner Butch Walker, who played guitar and sang with her on 'Mean' and short covers of The Who's 'My Generation', Green Day's 'Basket Case' and The Police's 'Roxanne'. During the end of 'Roxanne', Pink climbed into a huge inflatable ball and rolled around on top of the crowd before returning to the stage for the song's climax. 'I can't believe I'm playing on the same stage as Paul McCartney,' she later said. 'And he's a vegetarian too.' For her encore she was attached to more wires and sang 'So What' while performing acrobatics above the crowd between the stage and the mixing desk.

Pink played:

'Get This Party Started'

'Funhouse'

'Ave Mary A'

'Who Knew'

'Just Like A Pill'

'Sober'

'I'm Not Dead'

'I Don't Believe You'

'Dear Mr President'

'Mean'

'My Generation'/'Basket Case'

'Roxanne'

'Try Too Hard

''Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)'

"Sweetheart" Pink Calls Paparazzo

Pink was so stunned when a paparazzo treated her “humanely” this morning she took to the internet to call him a “sweetheart”.
In London the singer is recently performing concerts for her Funhouse Summer Carnival world tour. She flew into the UK from Germany in the early hours of the morning, and was disgusted when she saw a photographer had found out her flight details and was waiting to snap her.
As usual, Pink begged the man to leave her alone, but she was shocked when he actually listened to her. The man put down his camera and shook the star’s hand before walking away, leaving her speechless.
“Wow, I just met the nicest paparazzo in the whole world. I said ‘please don't take my picture’ and he shook my hand and said ‘go on then’ (sic),” Pink wrote on her Twitter page.
“I've never been treated so humanely in my life. Thank you Amon. I wish more people were nice like you. What a sweetheart (sic).”

Singer 'Pink': I am not Bisexual

Singer Pink is pretty peeved that she was quoted as saying she's bisexual.
After years of denials, the married "Who Knew" singer reportedly confirmed she has a thing for the ladies. But she says it was all made up.

"I'm not embarrassed about being bisexual. This is who I am," Pink (nee Alecia Moore) is quoted as telling Britain's News of the World.

Pink has previously insisted that she wasn't into the idea of having a same-sex romance.

"I'm not gay so I guess I would not try a relationship with a woman," she told NOW magazine last year. "I didn't say I haven't experimented, but I love men too much to make it a permanent thing."

In the pink Fundraisers are really

HAIRDRESSERS in Basingstoke were pretty in pink for a breast cancer charity fundraising day.
For the Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear it Pink Day, Taylor’s Hair and Beauty, in Wote Street, Basingstoke, invited patients from the breast cancer care unit at Basingstoke hospital.
They were able to enjoy an afternoon of pampering that included help with nails and hair.
Owner Janis Taylor said she decided to hold the event after a long time client and good friend Julia Dingwall was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2007.
Mrs Taylor said: “We have all been wearing our pink bras and giving free treatments to the patients. We wanted to do something for them after everything they have been through.”
Mrs Dingwall, a 44 year old mum-of-two and lecturer at Basingstoke College of Technology, said: “These treatments are actually key if you have just had chemotherapy and you have lost your hair and have rotten nails.
“They can actually make you feel better and help with your recovery.”
Mrs Dingwall and Mrs Taylor have already together raised £4,000 for the breast cancer care unit by holding a ball in Oakley Village Hall in June as well an auction. They are planning another ball next year.
Meanwhile, Graham Kent, who owns FHC For Hair in Elmwood Way, Winklebury, was in the pink.
The 58 year old gave himself an unusual new look and asked his staff and customers to wear pink items, and by the end of the day they had collected £270.
He told The Gazette: “It was great fun and all the girls enjoyed dressing up in items like pink pyjamas and pink slippers.
“We took the liberty of phoning all of our customers on that day to say if they wore pink we would donate £2 to the charity on their behalf. It was actually pleasing to look how many people wanted to be involved.”

Pink's Chili Dogs for 70 Cents?

Cheap chili dogs, and for a good cause too. Pink's Hot Dogs wants to thank LA for 70 great years by selling "Chili Dogs for Charity". Here's how it works: this week starting at 7 PM every day and going for 70 minutes for going, Pink's will sell chili dogs for just 70 cents. They normally cost $3.50 and all proceeds will go to the charity of a celebrity's choice. Mayor Villaraigosa will choose today's charity. Jason Alexander and Bill Cosby will stop by later in the week.
